A set of five papier-mâché Maneki Neko (lucky cats) with cushions. A traditional Japanese lucky charm. Harikiko (papier-mâché) were made to ward off evil spirits, to pray for good health, to ensure safe delivery, and to wish for the growth of children.
The paper cushion has a built-in magnet and attaches to the largest cat.
The papier-mâché is nested like Russian matryoshkas.
